sharing is caring
I find it extremely difficult to share my work, but I am working especially hard to push past this discomfort and take the opportunities for growth as they present themselves. Fear of rejection, fear of not being good enough have held me back from my potential for far too long. I am ready to share my perspective, and connect with artists and creatives like me (except for hopefully with somewhat different lived experience than me so we can learn and grow with each other).
On the note of sharing, I thought I would share what helped me change my perspective around this. Aside from therapy (which can be a life-changing opportunity for growth), the book “The Creative Act: A Way of Being” by Rick Rubin has transformed the way that I approach the world around me. Including how I approach problems and processes.
In the past, I never stopped to think about what my process was or even to entertain the idea of creating a process to streamline my creative work. It truly is different for everyone and can evolve over time. Take what works for you and leave the rest.
Welcome to my journey, I cannot wait to elevate by design.
