my local arts council had an open call for artists to submit artwork for a juried art show. I saw that the juror was one of my favorite, most inspirational local artist and designer. so, that motivated and inspired me to make a local guide inspired by my favorite spots around town. I illustrated the storefronts of these spots in procreate on my iPad, included a “why” section, their address and a map for reference.

I made it into the juried art show, and ended up meeting my local hero, who is now my mentor and friend. thank you to my friends at bluestocking social for having such a cool book club and for the extra push I needed to share my art and be vulnerable.
